Hi my Love Bugs!
Heritage Day is around the corner, and I’m sure you’re all looking forward to a day spent with friends and family around a table, soaking up the sun, al fresco! I think we all need it – we’ve had quite a year so far.
I’d like to encourage all of you to think about the produce you buy to cook with this Heritage Day, in the same way Grundig and I strive to do.
One of the reasons I’ve partnered with Grundig, and why I’m equally proud to have such a great brand on our shores, is our shared value of sustainable food efforts. As most of you know, I’m a part of the Chef’s Manifesto. This initiative means so much to me because it aims to eradicate world hunger through sustainable food practices by 2030.
Grundig also partners with initiatives like this, and non-profit organizations like Food for Soul, founded by Italian restaurateur Chef Massimo Bottura. If you don’t know of him, he’s the chef patron of Osteria Francescana, a three-Michelin-star restaurant based in Modena, Italy. Grundig and Food For Soul encourages communities to fight food waste, by using food in a more meaningful way at home, and teaching people how to transform salvaged food into delicious, healthy meals. It’s about knowing how to store food better, keep it fresh for longer, and shopping responsibly.
We all know the disappointment you feel when you reach for the veggies in the fridge, but it turns out they’ve spoiled! That’s one of the reasons why I love how Grundig’s appliances help keep your food fresher for longer.
